Be my #TCMValentines

Each Academy Awards season brings with it the annual "31 Days of Oscar" festival on Turner Classic Movies. For 31 glorious days starting February 1st, the channel only airs Oscar winning or nominated movies. Since the festival takes place over the month of February, the TCM programming team usually includes at least one romantic comedy or drama on February 14th in honor of Valentine's Day. The 2016 schedule was no exception, with a full day of assorted love stories.

In honor of the great lineup of films last year, I decided to create an illustration series celebrating what I called #TCMValentines. Using vintage Valentine's Day cards from the 1930s and 1940s for reference, I designed a set of seven digital cards. Each graphic incorporated an original GIF highlighting one of the Oscar-worthy films airing on the holiday. I shared one design per day with the TCM online community during Valentine's week.

In case you missed any of my posts on Twitter last year, you can see the entire series in the gallery below.

To TCM and the #TCMParty community, I would like to say a huge "thank you" for all of the likes and retweets of my #TCMValentines series. Your continued support of my work is amazing and deeply appreciated!
