Recreating the Boxer Rebellion: 55 Days at Peking

While the historical epic 55 Days at Peking (1963) visually captured the intensity of the Boxer Rebellion in 1900 China, the filmmaking process and the final results were disappointments for many involved, including Ava Gardner.
